About this line

A shower chair for elderly users works in the hardest environment in a home or hospital: a wet floor, daily water and soap, and a user who needs support while seated and during transfers. MOVO builds its shower and bath chairs on aluminium or 304 stainless steel frames with braked wheels, in Medica-Lab's own factories: the SFDA-licensed Madinah factory for Saudi Arabia and the Badr City factory for Egypt.

The range has three models for three situations: a tilting shower chair for users whose position must be adjusted during washing, a bath chair that converts from sitting to fully reclined for patients bathed entirely by carers, and a pool and shower wheelchair with a quick-drying mesh seat for hydrotherapy pools.

We supply hospitals, care homes, hydrotherapy centres and distributors, and families fitting out a bathroom for an elderly relative at home. Every order begins with a written quotation.

Tilting shower chair with braked castors

The MLW-6952L has an aluminium frame built for humid bathrooms, a seat that tilts as a whole so the carer can reposition the user without lifting, and solid castors with brakes that hold the chair still during transfers, on 58 cm rear and 20 cm front wheels. The seat is 44 cm wide, with flip-back armrests and swing-away footrests that clear the way for transfers from a wheelchair or bed. The 64 cm overall width passes through ordinary bathroom doors.

Bath chair that reclines to a lying position

For patients who cannot sit unsupported, the MLW-799R is a bath chair with a 304 stainless steel frame that resists corrosion in constant wet use and converts between sitting and a fully reclined lying position, measuring 181 × 55 × 50 cm. Its surfaces are high-toughness kayak material, it runs on four braked medical silent wheels with full-length side rails, and it carries 150 kg. It is used in hospitals and care homes where nursing staff bathe the patient completely.

Pool wheelchair for hydrotherapy

The MLW735LQ-36 is made for hydrotherapy pools, spas and wet areas: a quick-drying mesh seat and backrest, a corrosion-resistant frame, large solid rear wheels, fixed armrests and a flip-down footplate. The seat is 36 cm wide and the net weight is only 11.7 kg, so a therapist can handle it easily at the poolside. It suits rehabilitation centres and hotels that provide safe pool access.

What determines the price of a shower chair

Price depends on the model and its functions (tilting seat, reclining to lying, aluminium or stainless steel frame), the quantity ordered, the delivery city in Saudi Arabia, Egypt or the Gulf, and the warranty and service terms you need. Send the model, quantity and city through the quote form and we will reply with a written quotation.

FAQ

Which shower chair for elderly users suits home use best?

If the user sits steadily and needs a safe seat with wheels to reach the shower, the MLW-6952L with its tilting seat, braked castors and flip-back armrests is the right choice. If the user is bathed lying down with full assistance, choose the MLW-799R, which converts from sitting to lying. Describe the user's situation in your quote request and we will recommend the model.

Do you make a simple shower stool without wheels?

Our current range consists of three wheeled wet-area chairs: a tilting shower chair, a bath chair that reclines flat, and a pool wheelchair. A fixed shower stool is not among the models published at present; if you need a static seat for an elderly person who showers seated, contact us through the quote form and we will point you to the available option.

What is a bath chair made of, and why?

The MLW-6952L and MLW735LQ-36 have corrosion-resistant aluminium frames, light enough for daily use under the shower. The MLW-799R has a 304 stainless steel frame designed for constant wet use in hospitals, with high-toughness kayak-material surfaces. In neither case is there a plain steel frame that would rust in water.

Is there a wheelchair a patient can take into the pool?

Yes. The MLW735LQ-36 is designed for hydrotherapy pools and spas: a quick-drying mesh seat and backrest, a corrosion-resistant frame, large solid rear wheels, a 36 cm seat and an 11.7 kg net weight that makes it easy for a therapist to handle at the poolside.

Where are MOVO shower chairs made?

MOVO shower and bath chairs are made by Medica-Lab in its own factories, like HOSPIcare beds: the Madinah factory supplies Saudi Arabia, where units are SFDA-licensed (ML-2023-MD-0885) and carry the Saudi Made mark, and the Badr City factory supplies Egypt. Both work under ISO 13485:2016, with spare parts and service held locally in each country. Hospitals, distributors and individuals order through the quote form on this site.
